Hi, I’m Karra Hong, a live wedding painter with a heart for storytelling through art. There’s something magical about capturing love in real time as it unfolds. With a brush in my hand and a passion for painting, I help transform your most meaningful moments into lasting works of art.
I am originally from Korea and I first found my artistic spark in the world of fashion. I studied fashion design and fell in love with the beauty of color and texture. But I always had a passion for painting. There’s just something magical about capturing moments as they unfold.
Now, I spend my days painting, turning memories into whimsical works of art. Every canvas I create is filled with heart, detail, and a touch of magic and I truly can’t wait to help tell your story.

- The newlyweds only (1-2 Pets can be included)
- Free Hand Delivery within 6-10 weeks after the wedding (Local only)
- Artwork can be taken home day of the wedding
- No travel fee will be charged to the cities within Los Angeles and Orange County

What is a live wedding painter?
As a live wedding painter, I create a hand-painted artwork right at your wedding. I set up at your ceremony or reception and paint a meaningful moment as it unfolds. Your guests get to watch the painting come to life, and you walk away with a one-of-a-kind keepsake from your day.
How long does it take me to complete a live wedding painting?
Most of my live paintings take between 4–8 hours, depending on the canvas size and the level of detail. I usually try to finish as much of the work onsite and may add refined touches in my studio before delivering the final piece.
Is a live wedding painting worth it?
Most couples tell me that their live painting becomes one of their most treasured keepsakes. It’s a piece of fine art created in the exact moment you said “I do,” making it a meaningful investment in your memories.
Which wedding moments can I paint?
I can capture any moment that feels special to you (your ceremony, your first kiss, your first dance, your vow exchange, or a lively reception scene). Typically I photograph before the ceremony and choose with you. As always, you can decide which moment to I should capture.
When will we receive the completed painting?
Some paintings can be handed off the same night, depending on the medium, but most require 2–12 weeks of studio refinement. This time allows me to enhance details and ensure your artwork looks stunning. I highly recommended for me to retouch or refine the painting.
How far in advance should couples book?
I recommend booking 3 months in advance, especially if your wedding falls in peak season. My calendar fills up quickly, and securing your date early ensures I’m available to celebrate and paint with you.
How much do my live wedding painting services cost?
My pricing varies based on the canvas size, travel, and level of detail, but most couples invest between $2,000–$5,000+. I tailor packages to fit different needs, and some include travel or upgraded canvas options.
Do You travel for weddings?
Yes! I happily travel for weddings, both within the country and internationally. Travel fees may apply, and I’ll outline everything clearly so you know exactly what to expect.
What happens if our wedding timeline shifts?
Wedding days are beautifully unpredictable, and I’m used to adapting. As long as I’m kept informed during the day, I can adjust to changes in the schedule.
What if my venue has dim or unusual lighting?
I bring my own reading light if needed, so I can paint comfortably in almost any setting. If your venue has limitations, I’m happy to work through them and plan accordingly.
What materials do I use?
I typically work with oil & acrylic paints on professional-quality canvas. Acrylics allow faster drying for same-day completion, while oils offer rich texture and blending. I’ll use the medium that best matches your vision.
Can you customize your painting for us?
Absolutely. I can include pets, enhance details, adjust outfits, or add symbolic touches that matter to you. We’ll discuss your vision beforehand so your painting reflects your love story perfectly.
Can guests watch me paint during the wedding?
Definitely. Guests love watching the artwork evolve throughout the event. My setup often becomes a unique form of entertainment, and I enjoy connecting with guests as I work.
Do you offer digital copies of the final painting?
Yes, I can provide a high-resolution digital image of your finished artwork upon request.
